Alex Dauth

Alexander Dauth completed his Masters at the University of Vienna and then moved to Canada to pursue a PhD in Organometallic Chemistry at the University of British Columbia.  He is currently undertaking postdoctoral research at the Weizmann Institute of Science with a focus on developing mechanistically novel iron catalyzed transformations.  Alex is excited by the field of organometallic chemistry as it has the potential to successfully address issues such as production and storage of clean energy, the development of new environmentally benign transformations for the industry scale production of fine chemicals and the discovery of new materials.
