Itay Remer

Itay Remer is a PhD student in the department of biomedical engineering at Ben Gurion University of the Negev. His research, in the field of biomedical optics, focuses on two directions: The first, development of a cellphone - based imaging probe which would enable a noninvasive diagnosis and monitoring solution for malaria. The second, development of an all-optical, noninvasive probe for imaging the mechanical properties of biological matter. Using the power of light and optics for biomedical applications, Itay hopes to provide knowledge and applicative solutions for the advancement of human global healthcare.
