Dana Sury Barot
Dana Sury Barot is a PhD student in the Faculty of Education at the University of
Haifa. She is fascinated by the “magical world” of numbers and
by the human ability evolutionally embedded in us to process
and understand quantities. Her research focuses on numerical
cognition and dyscalculia, a field which has received little attention.
Dana believes that understanding the role of ordinal processing
in dyscalculia may lead to better adapted and more efficient
diagnosis and treatment methods for mathematics learning. She
hopes to use her research to help develop the knowledge and skills
of future researchers, teachers and therapists.
